A natural leader, Yen co-founded the Vietnamese Student Association at UBC, helped establish VietFest in Vancouver, served as treasurer for the V3 Group non-profit, and was the past president of the Vietnamese Friendship Society of Fraser Valley. Outside of her professional life, she is passionate about travel and immersing herself in new cultures, often drawing inspiration from her adventures to enrich her work.
